Voigtländer’s First Lens With Spherical Aberration Control Comes to RF and Z

The Voigtländer Portrait Heliar 75mm f/1.8 launched last May in Sony E-mount is now available for Canon RF and Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens has the manual focus and aperture control rings typical of Cosina Voigtländer lenses, but adds a third ring that gives photographers direct control over lens aberrations and bokeh.

Nikon introduced the Nikon F SLR back in April of 1959, so this year is the 60th anniversary of the popular camera system. To celebrate, the Nikon Museum in Tokyo created a poster with a timeline of F-mount bodies. The poster features 169 different camera models and costs ¥1,200 (~$11). It’s a limited edition product so it’ll be gone once it sells out. Unfortunately for photographers who don’t live in the Tokyo area, there may not currently be a simple way to order this poster and have it delivered, so your best bet may be to try and snag one later on from a reseller. P.S. Here’s a bit of interesting trivia: did you know that the Nikon F was named after the ‘f’ in “re f lex”?
