Sirui has launched Astra, a new series of 1.33x full-frame autofocus-equipped anamorphic cinema lenses. The new Sirui Astra lenses are the world's first full-frame anamorphic optics to combine autofocus with a constant, fast T1.8 aperture.

    The compact size (600‑700g) for such specs is a game changer, especially for solo filmmakers or run‑and‑gun setups. Also cool to see two flare styles — classic blue streak or a more neutral option.

    On a related note, I really like how SIRIU’s other lenses — like the SIRUI 40 mm T1.8 1.33× AF Anamorphic — are pushing accessible anamorphic for content creators.

Nikon introduced the Nikon F SLR back in April of 1959, so this year is the 60th anniversary of the popular camera system. To celebrate, the Nikon Museum in Tokyo created a poster with a timeline of F-mount bodies. The poster features 169 different camera models and costs ¥1,200 (~$11). It’s a limited edition product so it’ll be gone once it sells out.
